Funeral for Steven Edward Nelson, 66, of Moulton will be Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Liberty United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Carl Evans officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Liberty United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Nelson, who died Thursday, February 26, 2015, at his residence, was born March 12, 1948, in Columbus, GA., to Edward Leon Nelson and Vallie “Tina” Nelson. He retired from Delphi Saginaw. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. Steven was an avid hunter and loved to cook. His parents preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Naomi Rice Nelson; one son, Steven Nelson II (Sherry); two daughters, Mary Beth Fisher and Katherine Pope (Ken);and grandchildren, Jacob, Kathleen, Leah and Matthew Fisher, Haley Ann and Trey Nelson, Caymen Pope, Austyn and Eastyn Randolph.
Pallbearers will be James Miller, Dale Sparks, Stanley Sivley, David Woodall, Jerry Bailey and Tim Flannigan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Spencer and Jimmy Howse.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
