Edward Marshall Holliday SR

Edward Marshall Holliday SR, age 88 of Huntsville, passed away Saturday at a local nursing home.  A native of Birmingham, he resided in Madison County for 56 years.
He is survived by two sons, Marshall Holliday and Howard Holliday three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00pm Thursday.  Burial service with military honors will be held Friday at 1:00pm at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens in Montgomery, AL.  Edward served in the US Navy aboard the USS Kearsarge CV-33 during the Korean War and retired from a long civil service career at Redstone Arsenal.  He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and loved his family enjoying golfing, fishing, RVing, and flying RC planes as a member of the Huntsville RCRC club.
In lieu of flowers request that contributions be made to further Alzheimer’s and Dementia research and support.
