Edward Lee Turner, 83, of Fort Payne, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019. He was born March 4, 1936 in Kopperl, Texas to the late L.D. and Audrey McKenzie Turner. Mr. Turner was a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Mitchell and Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Fischer Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the local V.F.W.
He is survived by his children Edward L. Turner, Jr., Shelia Boggs and husband, Steve, and David Thompson and wife, Sandy; grandchildren Tonia Feemster and husband, Jim, Kristal Boggs, Courtney Thompson, Terrell Thompson and wife, Halie, and Brad Thompson; great-grandchildren Kayla McAlpin and husband, Zach, Alyson Guinn, and Baylee Guinn; sisters, Nadine Davis and late husband, Cecil, Elaine Turner, and Shirley Cassidy and husband, Butch. He was preceded in death by his wives Helen Turner and June Turner and sister, Bobbie Dale Young.
