Edward Lee Parker, 87 years old of Moulton, went home to be the Lord Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at his residence. Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 10:00 -12:00 noon at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM immediately following in the Funeral Home Chapel with Scotty Evans and Jason Evans officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
Mr. Parker retired from Champion Papers in Shipping. He was a Member of Moulton Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Vivian Anita Lanier Parker, his parents: Wallace and Willie Lawrimore Parker, two brothers: Coy Parker and Windell Parker, and two sisters: Eloise Flannigan and Orene Morgan.
Mr. Parker is survived by his daughter: Sandra Parker Evans and her husband Scotty, grandson: Jason Scott Evans and his wife, Marissa, Great Grandson: William Scott (Will) Evans, all of Moulton, one brother: Olin Parker, Hillsboro and one sister: Mildred McDonald, Decatur.
Pallbearers are Allen Hamby, Joey Davis, Olin Parker, Anthony Alexander, Ray Alexander and Scotty Evans.
The family wants to thank Alacare Hospice and Mr. Parker’s caregivers: Amy, Deborah, Gina, Janet, Regina and Summer.
