Edward L. Morris – Obituary

Edward L. Morris, 84, passed away Friday April 18, 2014 at North Mississippi Medical Center,
after a brief illness. He was born on September 23, 1929 in Memphis, TN to the late Paul and Sarah Byars Morris.
He retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years and then moved to Fulton, where he worked for Davis Ford for 26 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He loved his church family and was a greeter at the door for many years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was known for his great sense of humor and was one who never met a stranger.

He is survived by the love of his life for 66 years, Martha Whitten Morris, a son Dan (Ariane) Morris ofCharleston, SC; a daughter Debra Ransom of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren; Sarah Catalano,Matthew Catalano, Danielle Morris and Luke Morris and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Paul Farris Morris, Mother, Sarah Anna Morris, Sister, Gladys Ferguson and son-in-law Charlie Ransom.

Pallbearers will be Dan Morris, Jeff Gray, Chip Prestage, Bill Howell, Billy Trotter, Jerry Summers and Glen Reedes.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Tatum and Davis Ford Employees Chris Dickinson and
Jason Dickinson.
