Edward Eugene Romans, age 72, of Leighton (formerly of Russellville), passed away on August 11, 2026. The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Bethsaida Cemetery in Russellville with Michael Jackson officiating the service
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda McCollum Romans; children, Vicky Cassel (Tommy), Laura Romans (Steven Burfield), Johnny Romans (Denean); brothers, Wesley Romans (Eva), Jimmy Romans (Sandra); grandchildren, Danielle Cassel, Cameron Cassel, Joshua Scott, Anastasia Scott, Molly Scott, Billy Joe Scott, Ryan Romans, Kayla Riley; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Inez (Williams) Romans; siblings, Barb Slocum, Ramona Myers, Peggy McCoy, Nicky Romans, Howard Romans, Mike Romans; and granddaughter, Bella Nicole Burfield
The pallbearers will be Steven Burfield, Jeffrey Romans, Travis Holt, Matthew Romans, Craig Matlock, and Cameron Cassel. The honorary pallbearer will be Joshua Scott.
