Edward “Eddie” Joe Harrison

Edward “Eddie” Joe Harrison died peacefully at home on July 14, 2026. He was born Thursday, April 1, 1948, in Morgan County, to Edward Lincoln Harrison and Ophelia Clem Harrison.

Eddie was a Spec.5 Medic in the United States Army Infantry and a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. He loved vacationing with his family, tending to his animals, and gardening. He was a do-it-yourselfer, a woodcarver, a taxidermist and an oil painter. In his spare time, he loved to fish and hunt.

“Special Thanks” from his family to the entire staff at the Birmingham VA Hospital and Enhabit Hospice, for their loving care during his extended illness.

Preceding him in death were his son- Jeremy Harrison and his parents. Cremation arrangements are being handled be Peck Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Visiting from 2:30 PM -3:00 PM prior to the Mass.

Survivors include:

Wife – Therese Harrison,

Daughter – Christy Moore
Daughter – Angela Miles

Three Grandchildren
