Edward “Ed” Brown – Obituary

Mr. Edward “Ed” Brown, age 73, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
His visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the service immediately following. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Keith Russell and Brother Wade Wallace will be officiating along with Woodie Belk and Paul Andrzejewski.
Ed was a retired electrician, belonging to IBEW Local 558. He was a member of Leighton United Methodist Church where he grew to love each person there as family.
Ed was the son of the late Ruel and Willodean Brown. He was married to the late Evelyn Miller, the mother of his three children, Toni, Eddie (deceased), and Johnnie (deceased).
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Brown; daughter, Toni (Paul) Andrzejewski; grandson, Chase Bailey; stepsons, Steve (Kathy) Childers, Randy (DaJuana) Childers, and Terry Don (Regina) Childers; stepgrandchildren, Courtney (John) Gober, Tyler Childers, Clayton Thrasher, Scott (Nikki) McElroy, and Haley Hames; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Chase Bailey, Tyler Childers, Terry Don Childers, Randy Childers, Steve Childers, Paul Richey, Darrell Miller, Kenny Sumerel, and Joel Rainer. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Leighton United Methodist Church.
Peggy and the family want to thank Dr. Ridgeway and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their loving care given to Ed during his illness.
Colbert Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family.
