Funeral services for Edward (Ed) Alexander Morrice age 94 of Hazel Green will be held Thursday 10 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home and burial with Military Honors will be in the Bevills Cemetery with Hazel Green Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born December 5, 1928 in Rochester, New York and passed away July 14, 2023 in Huntsville, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Lawrence Morrice and Margarete Delatrina Sara Simpson Lemmy Morrice, two sisters, Mary Margaret Morrice and Elizabeth Lemmy Morrice, one brother, William Harry Morrice, one son, Patrick Lawrence Morrice (Debra) and one step daughter, Ruby “Bobbi” Dennis (Roy).

He is survived by one son, Richard Alan Morrice (Jean) and one daughter, Letha Ann Morrice Ary (Will), sixteen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren

Ed joined the Navy at age seventeen in 1946 and was a Korean War Veteran, he served until 1956 becoming a First Class Yeoman and he settled in San Diego, California where he raised his family and worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a Distribution Clerk until his retirement in 1990. He was an avid reader, enjoyed working word puzzles and watching old western shows. He was a kind and gentle man, nicknamed Tiny Tim although he stood tall at six foot three. He was baptized in the Methodist Church.

Visitation will be Thursday 9-10 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home
