Edward E. (Ed) Vincent – Obituary

CWO3 Edward E. (Ed) Vincent of Hollytree, AL, passed away on Feb. 4, 2019. Ed spent 28 years in the U.S. Army serving three tours in Vietnam and tours in Germany, Korea, Okinawa Japan, Nairobi Kenya, and Khartoum Sudan along with various stateside assignments. Ed received the Bronze Star Medal, Army Meritorious Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal (3), Army Commendation Medal (5), the Army Achievement Medal and six Good Conduct Medals during his military career. He received Associate and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College, Missouri. He then worked as a defense contractor for several local companies (SAIC, MEVATEC), and BAE Systems) for fourteen years retiring in 2004.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward E. Vincent and Lois M. Lippincott, his brother Rich of Brooksville, FL, and Frank of Hollytree, AL, and sister Lois of Williamstown, NJ.

He is survived by his children, sons Edward (Skip) of GA, Christopher and wife Amber and grandchildren Brayden, Lexie and Cody Vincent of Plain City, UT, son Travis Vincent of Oakley, CA, daughter Tina of GA, sisters Virginia (Joie) White and husband Mike of Woodville, AL, and Vickie Davis and husband Earl of Bonita Springs, FL, and Lisbeth of Colorado.
