Edward C. Minor, 86, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Saturday. Dr. Minor received his Associates of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC; and Bachelors of Theology, as well Master of Theology and Doctor of Divinity as from International Bible Institute in Plymouth, FL. He pastored churches in Tennessee, Alabama and North Carolina for 38 years. He worked for Thomas Nelson Publishers for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Jean Minor; children, Jonathan E. Minor, Stephen E. Minor and wife, Dawn, Nathan E. Minor and wife, Brenda, and Jeanne E. Lane and husband, David; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 8 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel with Terry Campbell and Stephen Minor officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, AL. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Seth Minor, Roman Minor, Elijah Minor, Ryan Hall, Cade Peacock and Mick Infalt.
