Edsel Henry “Doc” Hunt age 91, of Florence, died Thursday, August 8, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday, August 10 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Dr. Timothy Murtaugh officiating. Mr. Hunt was a member of 1st Christian Church of Florence and a United States disabled Army veteran with the 117th Calvalry Reconnaissance Squadron in World War II. He is survived by his wife, Sara Farr Hunt of Florence; daughter, Karen Grisham (Mike) of Mobile, and son, Rance Hunt (Barbara) of Killen; grandchildren, Lori Bethea (Britt), Brian Hunt, Jessica Hunt, and Kate Hunt; great-grandchildren, Maddox Bethea, Briley Bethea, Toby Bethea, and Josephine Haselton, and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Gentiva and Home Instead. In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veteran’s Chapter 63 of Sheffield.
