Edna Mae Hornsby, 83, of Boaz passed away May 23rd at her home. Edna was born in Jacksonville to Rosa M. Sasnett and James Sasnett.
Edna traveled the world with her husband supporting his military career while raising her children. She was a loving mother and her children were her world. Edna volunteered at the hospital in the OBGYN clinic, nursing homes and the Red Cross. She owned her own business, running an upholstery shop for years. She had a passion for being outside, gardening and feeding her birds. Survived by daughters Annette Tracy and husband Duane Tracy, Deborah Huff, Connie Moore, Rebecca Weary and husband Tony Weary, Connie Sherwood and his son David Hornsby; 9 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by brothers Bennie Sasnett, Joseph Sasnett, James Sasnett, Bud Sasnett, sisters Jean McDonald, Marie Sasnett, and Mary Sasnett.

Graveside service will be held Friday May 26th at Pleasant Hill Cemetery # 1 at 3:00 p.m. with her son- in- law Duane Tracy to officiate. Pallbearers: Tony Weary, Duane Tracy, Gavin Carroll, David Hornsby, Jacob Hornsby, Terry Beam.
