Edna Jean Potter, age 80, passed away Monday, Dec. 1, 2015.
The visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Akins Funeral Home. The 2 p.m. funeral service will be held at Pleasant Hill FCM Church on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, with Brother Darryl Whitehead and Brother Merrell Potter officiating. Interment will be in East Franklin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joey Quillen, Jonathon Baker, Jason Baker, Eric Ergle, Jeremy Potter and Cory Potter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Teddie O. Potter; son, Gary O. Potter; granddaughter, April Harvey; great-granddaughter, Haley Richardson; parents, Ausie and Susie Blankenship; brothers, Hillard Blankenship and Willard Blankenship; and sister, Lorene Colburn.
She is survived by her children, Steve Potter and wife, Susan, Mary Potter, wife of the late Gary Potter, Rhonda Baker and husband, Charles, Wendy Ergle and husband, David, and Gregg Potter and wife, Angela; siblings, Leon Blankenship and wife, Jackie, Beatrice Potter and husband, Edison, Faye Carey and husband, Raymond, and Dan Blankenship and wife, Brenda; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
