A private family graveside service for Mrs. Edna Jean Mitchell Mooney, 81, who passed away December 9,2020 at NHC in Moulton, Al. was held at Midway Memorial Gardens. Greg Standridge officiated and Parkway Funeral Home directed.
She was born in Manchester, Kentucky on August 24, 1939 to Hughey and Exie Bell Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years Billy Eugene Mooney Sr., her sisters Alene Pabst and Gladys Yancey.
Survivors include:
Daughter: JoAnn (Stanley) Martin
Son: Billy Eugene Mooney Jr.
Granddaughter: Ashley Nicole Martin
Brother: Phillip Mitchell
Mrs. Mooney was a Godly woman who loved to teach the word, sing and play guitar. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
