Edna Harris Cornelius, 88, died Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Dogwood Assisted Living, Corinth, MS. She was born in Belmont, MS to Charlie Harris and Oniece Mink Harris. She was retired as a bookkeeper for Oak Hall Men’s Clothing Store. Edna was a member of Tishomingo Baptist Church and Tishomingo Chapter Women’s Auxillary.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS assisted the family.
She is survived by four children, Carolynn Ferguson (Ray), Nancy Nelson (Paul), Shara Krag (Kerry) and Michael Cornelius (Amy); grandchildren, Colleen Jones, Joslyn Walker (Aaron), Amelia Miller (Bennett), Thomas Cornelius, Carter Cornelius and Davis Cornelius; great-grandchildren, Landon Warner, Donovan Jones, Adrain Jones, Hayes Walker and Forrest Walker and a sister, Nancy Mesrop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Joe Cornelius, her parents and four brothers, Joe James, Bill James, Gene James and C.M. Harris.
