Mrs. Edna Francis (Guffey) Keeton passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Scottsboro, AL.
Edna was born on Gunter’s Mountain to Frank and Lila Guffey. Later in life, they moved to Skyline where she met and married her husband of 68 years, J. L. Keeton. Edna was known for loving her family and also her church family and friends.
She will be missed by all. She is survived by daughter, Edna L (Tig) Keeton; sons Ronald Keeton & Russell (Ashlyn) Keeton; grandchildren, Allison, Amanda, Roni Jo, Lila & Joseph; great grandchildren, Lorren, Logan, Parker & Kyla; brothers, Earl (Christine) Guffey, Lowell Guffey; and sisters, Doris Stephens, Margie (J.C.) McGill, and Daphine (Neal) Clark.
Edna was preceded in death by husband J.L Keeton; son Johnny Keeton; parents, Rev Frank & Lila Guffey; sister, Mildree Stephens; and brother, Larry Glen Guffey.
There will be a drive through visitation at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friends may drive around and see the family, but must remain in their vehicles at all times. A private graveside service will follow at Skyline Cemetery with Rev. Shirley Byrum, Bro. Scott Cooley & Bro. Wayne Denson officiating.
