Edna Carolyn Weaver, 81, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Mike Smith officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived her life loving and caring for those around her. A retired elementary school teacher, she devoted much of her life to guiding, teaching, and nurturing children.

She was married to the love of her life, Jack, for sixty-two years, and together they shared countless adventures- from traveling with their Gold Wing motorcycle friends, who were more like family, to spending time on the family land, “The Farm,” with loved ones gathered around. Through every season of her life, she was surrounded by family and friends, and she gave her love freely to each of them. Perhaps their greatest adventure of all was the beautiful family they created together. The legacy of love she leaves behind is no small thing.

Carolyn also had a deep love for Christmas. She spent countless hours searching for and collecting the perfect gifts for her family, carefully placing them into monogrammed stockings she made by hand. It was one of the many ways she poured her heart into making others feel cherished.

She was the kindest woman, with an uplifting and positive spirit. She was a comforter, a nurturer, and a true caretaker of all. Her bright light in this world will be deeply missed, and her passing will be felt by many. Yet we find peace in knowing that the love she so freely gave is not gone. It lives on – alive and beaming- in the hearts of her family, her friends, and every person who ever had the honor of knowing her.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Speed” Caudill, Sr.; mother, Dorothy Marie Caudill Thompson; and step-father, Lacey Owen Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Pride Weaver, Sr.; children, Jack Pride Weaver, Jr. (Deb), Charles Rutland “Rusty” Weaver (Jenn), and Anna Weaver Underwood; brothers, Charles Edward “Chuck” Caudill, Jr. (Jan) and Mark David Caudill (Susan); step-brother, Mike Thompson (Donna); step-sister, Linda Thompson Pope (Steve); grandchildren, Austin (Jordan), MaKenzie, and Kelsey Weaver, Victoria Smith (Chase), Joshua Weaver, Drew Chasteen, and Myles and Mallory Underwood; nine precious great-grandchildren; a special niece; two special nephews; and numerous step nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin Weaver, Myles Underwood, Drew Chasteen, Joshua Weaver, Andrew Caudill, and Justin Caudill.
