Mrs. Edith Thacker HallEdith Thacker Hall, 84, of Albertville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born on November 6, 1939, in DeQuincy, Louisiana, to the late Delbert and Gertrude Thacker. In 1947, Edith moved with her six siblings to Alabama, where she spent the majority of her life.
Edith was married to the late Linn W. Hall, for 57 years until his passing. Throughout her career, Edith worked in accounting, at Tate-Mitchem Tractor Co. and McGriff Dowdy Associates.
Raised in a home steeped in strong Christian faith, Edith carried these values with her throughout her life, and devoted herself to caring for others.
Edith is survived by her sons, Greg Hall (Ramona) and Scott Hall (Amy), as well as her grandchildren, Anna Kathryn Hall, Caroline Cole (Michael), Austin Hall, and Whitt Hall. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Willoughby (Ronnie). Edith was preceded in death by her three brothers, Delbert Jr., Charles, and Wallace Thacker, and two sisters, June Hayes and Ann McClain.
A funeral service held on February 1st at Adams Brown Funeral Home in Albertville, with Reverend Chris Johnson officiating. Visitation will take place from 12:00 to 2:00, followed by the service at 2:00 in the chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.
