Edith S. Lott – Obituary

Funeral service for Edith S. Lott, 86, will be Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lott died on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home.  She was born  August 5, 1931, in Marion County to James Elton Sudduth and Monterie Cook Sudduth.  She served as the Secretary of the West Hartselle Baptist Church and also for the Morgan County Baptist Association for many years..  She was a past president of the Alabama Association of Baptist Secretaries. Mrs. Lott also served as director of the Mother’s Day Out program at First Baptist Hartselle for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartselle.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Johnnie Lott, her parents and a brother and sister-in-law: Lynwood and Faye Sudduth.

Her family wishes a special “Thank You” to the employees of the “South Straight” at Summerford Nursing Home.

Survivors include:
One Daughter and her husband
Greg and Cookie Lott Garner

One Brother and his wife
Clyde Sudduth  (Charlene)

One Sister and her husband
Betty Faye Wray (Donald)

One Grandchild and her husband
Catherine Garner Canafax (Ray)

And three special nieces, Kathy, Tab, and Jennifer

Pallbearers will be Keith Corder, Kenny Scarborough, Greg Garner, Chris Jackson, Bill Clemons, and Chris Keenum.

In lieu of flowers: Family requests that memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Library Fund.
