Edith Mae Gober Carroll, 64, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Helen Keller Hospital. She was born in Franklin County to James Dalton and Lena Gober. She was a member of Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church.
Services will be Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Chapel, Red Bay with Brother David Corum and Jeremy Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Sparks Chapel Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by one son, Nicholas Dalton Carroll (fiancée, Katie Gonzales), of Red Bay; one sister, Christine Martin (David), of Red Bay; seven special nieces and nephews, Cody Martin, Amanda Gober, Ethan Martin, Micah Martin, Christian Martin, Bruce Gober, and Lori Gober; and a sister-in-law, Becky Gober.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Carroll, her parents, three brothers, Wilburn Gober, Mac Gober, and Jack Gober, and a nephew, Chris Martin.
Visitation will be today, 6-9 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay.
