Graveside Service for Edith Joyce Hodges, 94, of Decatur, will be Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 10:00AM at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville with Rev. Bryan Blass officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hodges died August 1, 2022 at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation. She was born July 11,1928 in Blanche, Tennessee to Calvin Pete and Mary Minor Koonce. She loved her children and family, and was a ward clerk for Decatur General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edwin Hodges, brother, James C., Koonce, sister, Peggy Davis, grandson, Jason Maynard.
Survivors include, sons, Jon Mark Hodges (Robin), James Jeffrey Hodges (Karen), daughters, Jean Anne Maynard (Allan), Edwina Gregg, sister, Julia A. Hass, 8 grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren.
