Edith “Idell” Mann, age 75 of Haleyville, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Gadsden Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 23, 1949, to Andrew and Gladys Mann. Idell loved to spend her time sewing and crocheting while sitting in her favorite chair, but nothing could compare to the love she had for her family. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville. Burial will be at Posey Mill Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Michael Mann will officiate. Idell is survived by her sons, Johnny (Shelley) Whitten, and Arthur Whitten; daughters, Brenda (Herman) Kimbrough, and Linda Page; sister, Letha Mann; grandchildren, Telicia (Bob) Oswalt, Jerry Dale Whitten, Brandy Woods, Deanna Edwards, Lashay (Josh) Knight, Tonya (Cody) Hopkins, and Darrin Ray Jr. (Chelsea) Page, and a number of great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Gladys Mann; sisters, Hazel Garrison, and Lola Mann; and brothers, Homer Mann, James Mann, Tab Mann, and Arley Mann.
