Edith Estelle Murphy, age 99, formerly of Florence, passed away Nov. 28, 2015. The funeral service will be today at 11 a.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Murphy was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richmond V. Cobb and R. A. Murphy, and son, John Richard Cobb Sr.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Call and Theresa (Larry) Dixon; grandchildren, John Richard “Rick” Cobb Jr., Beth (Gavin) Russell, Dana (Jason) Tomlinson, Lisa Call, Laura (Steve) Ford and Kathryn Ila Dixon; great-grandchildren, Sidney, Bethany and Nathan Cobb, Patrick, Alice, Saiorse and Walt Russell, J. D. Tomlinson, Dalton Ray Ford, Camden Lee Ford, Skyler O’Neal Dixon and Gretchen Violet Nichols; sister, Maezell (Ron) Edwards; and daughter-in-law, Betty Achorn.
