Edgel Waylon Lamons, age 58, of Lacey Springs, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on October 11, 1967, to Howard and Ellen Lamons. Edgel was a loving father and grandfather who cherished his family deeply. He had a great love for the outdoors and found joy in nature, often spending his time on the river or in the woods. Known for his sense of humor, Edgel was a natural comedian who brought laughter to friends and family with his jokes and lighthearted spirit. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Edgel is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Allen) Brown; his son, Tyler Lamons; his grandchildren, Tyler, Kevin, Karen, and Peyton Brown; his girlfriend, Ruth Beshears; his brothers, Billy, Marvin, and Johnny; his sisters, Cherry and Helen; and a host of nieces and nephews.
