Edgar Earl Cranor III, 68, of Huntsville, passed away February 14, 2026. Earl was born in Charlotte, NC and grew up in Birmingham, AL. He went to Auburn University and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Earl worked for Cyalume Technologies until retiring in 2019. He was also a Naturopathic doctor and was awarded a membership into the International Who’s Who of Professionals.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Louise Smith Cranor; sister, Susan Cranor Harper and her husband, Jim Harper; niece, Lauren Fitzgerald and her husband, Douglass Fitzgerald; and great-nephews and niece, Charlie, Oliver, Harper and Theo.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
