Edeltraut Haase Behrens, 83, passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2023. Edeltraut was born in Ziegenhals, Germany on October 9, 1939 to Bernhard Haase and Elisabeth Hein Haase. She was the sister of Werner Haase (deceased). She immigrated to the United States in 1962 to build a new life with her family. Edeltraut was a wonderful mother to three sons who loved her dearly; Michael Donald Behrens (deceased October 12, 1985), Glenn George Behrens, and Jeffrey Scott Behrens as well as a beloved grandmother of seven and great–grandmother of thirteen. She had careers in the cosmetics and quality control industries. She loved clothes and had a saying “You should dress for the day you want to have.” Edeltraut was an avid gardener, supported numerous charities, but most of all had a passion for all animals, especially her dogs Spanky and Lily who will miss her terribly.

Edeltraut leaves behind her sons Glenn George Behrens (Karen), Jeffrey Scott Behrens (Veronica); seven grandchildren Amy Behrens, Brent Behrens, Amanda Behrens, Jessica Kuykendall (Joshua), Michael Behrens, Krista Brown (Jeremy), Jennifer Gibson (Curt) as well as thirteen great–grandchildren Skylar Johnson, Allie Behrens (Brent Behrens), Rachel Behrens, Abigail Collins (Amy Behrens), Landon Freeman, Jax Freeman (Amanda Behrens), Kenneth Kuykendall, Anderson Kuykendall (Jessica and Joshua Kuykendall), Brayden Brown, William Brown (Krista and Jeremy Brown) and Kaylie Gibson, Lexie Gibson, Carter Gibson (Jennifer and Curt Gibson).

A graveside service will be held at Faith Memorial Cemetery on Monday, April 17, at 1:00 pm.
