Eddy Ray Poff, age 64 of Decherd, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Highpoint Health in Winchester. He was born on April 24, 1962, in Winchester, to the late Marvin Matthew and Eddie Velma (Cook) Poff. Eddy worked in the nurseries throughout Franklin County and later worked in construction as a brick mason. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing for Bass and Catfish and kayaking. On rainy days and late evening, you could find him watching his favorite westerns. Eddy treasured the time spent with his family and especially those who called him Pawpaw. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Reese; sister, Norma Marie Hill; brother, George Marlow; and uncles, Norman Earl Cook and Frank Cook. Eddy is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Dorothy Poff; son, Timothy Ray (Crystal) Poff; grandchildren, Allen Poff, Chelsea Poff, and Emily Ratliff; sister, Doris (Larry) Steele, and brothers, Danny (Louise) Poff, and Matthew Poff. Visitation will be from 1-2pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Winchester Memorial Park.
