Eddie Wilson Bishop, Chief Petty Officer, U. S. Navy, Retired, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Eddie was born in Summertown, Tennessee, on December 9, 1945, to Howard Bishop and Edna McAfee Williams. Eddie was proud to be a retiree of the U. S. Navy after over twenty years of service. After retirement from the Navy, he worked as a supervisor for Lockheed Aircraft for several years. He worked in the naval aviation wing as an electrician. He cared deeply for his family, and was a fun-loving man. He was a very honest man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife: Nida Buen Bishop of Mt. Pleasant; sons: Jeremiah (Hannah) Bishop and Eddie (Lori) Bishop; granddaughter: Samantha Bishop; brother: David (Johanna) Bishop; nieces: Kristie Henderson and Maria Lynch; nephew: Matthew Bishop; and cousins: Darrell and Eddie McAfee. He was preceded in death by his parents: Howard Bishop and Edna McAfee Williams; and siblings: Joe Bishop, Freddie Bishop Kelsay, Mitzie Whitwell Lynch and niece: Dana Bishop.

A memorial inurnment will be scheduled at Summertown Cemetery at a later date with the U. S. Navy presenting military honors.
