Eddie Kennedy  Eddie Wayne Kennedy, 76, of Pinson, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2026.
Born on February 26, 1950, Eddie grew up in Warrior, Alabama, where he attended Warrior High School. He dedicated many years of hard work to Reno Refractories in Morris, Alabama, where he was a valued employee until his retirement in 2023.
Eddie was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved tinkering with cars and trucks, watching NASCAR races, enjoying classic Western television shows and movies, cheering on Alabama football, and, above all, spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of family, and the many memories he created with those who knew him.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leona Kennedy; his brothers, Buddy Kennedy, Lawrence Kennedy, Bill Kennedy, Frankie Kennedy, and Charlie Kennedy; and his sister, Shirley Thompson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha Kennedy; his children, Jason Kennedy (Kelley), Grace Nunnally (Brian), Grant Jacks, Keith Pate (Melissa), and Kevin Pate. He was a proud grandfather to Vedder Kennedy (Kendra Marie), Jaybo Kennedy, Anna Kennedy, Kylie Collum (Eli), Ephraim Nunnally, Eli Nunnally, and Haley Taylor. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Viera Kennedy, Valor Kennedy, Asher Blackston, Jase Blackston, and Rowan Collum.
Eddie is further survived by his brothers, Clyde Kennedy and Ersie Kennedy; his sisters, Gladys Blythe, Melba McCombs, and Lois Miller; his close friend, Scotty Watson; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Doug Alford and the caregivers of ACG Hospice for the extraordinary compassion, support, and care they provided to Eddie and his family.
