Funeral Services for Eddie Thompson, 77, will be held at 2 pm Friday, March 6, 2020 at Salem Baptist Church with burial to follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5pm until 9 pm Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Shelton Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Eddie was an avid duck hunter and golfer, as well as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Eddie and his wife, Sherry, members of Salem Baptist Church in Trenton, TN. He worked alongside Sherry in the Family Shoe Store for 23 years. After that, he began his career with AIG until his retirement. His greatest joys in life were his wife Sherry, as well as their children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Akin Thompson, and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Sherry of 56 years; his brother-in-law, Jeff Crum of Nashville, TN; brother, Arthur Thompson and family of Tuscaloosa, AL; his children: Richard Thompson and wife Shannon of Daphne, AL, Brad Thompson of Trenton, TN, and Dawn Anglin of Trenton, TN; his five grandchildren: Carley Thompson of Jackson, TN, Chloe Thompson of Trenton, TN, Macy Anglin of Trenton, TN, Tanner Thompson of Daphne, AL, and Colson Anglin of Trenton, TN, and one great-grandchild, Ivy Jane David of Jackson, TN. He also cherished loving memories of his nieces and nephews.
