Eddie Roy MooreEddie Roy Moore died February 4, 2019 at his residence after a short illness. He was born in Jackson, TN to the parents of W.G. and Pearlene (Phillips) Moore. He retired from Kellogg’s Company of Memphis of 36 years, served as a Jackson Police Officer, was the Jackson Exchange Club Officer of the year for 1967, he was a Navy Veteran serving on the USS Suribachi. He loved University of Tennessee Football, enjoyed camping, loved going to the beach, but most importantly, he loved his family and those grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 Years, Sherry (Surratt) Moore of Jackson, TN; one son, Eddie (Anissa) Moore of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Phillip (Teresa) Moore of Jackson, TN; and Lynn (Brenda) Moore of Florida; two sisters, Mae (Sonny) Webb and Janet (Sammy) Alexander; and three grandchildren, Tyler, Justin, and Colby.
Pallbearers to serve are Ronnie Horton, Hershal Walker, Ben Matlock, Samuel Jennings, Tyler Moore, Justin Moore, and Colby Moore.
SERVICES: The family will be receiving friends on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Arrington Funeral Directors. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. on Friday at Arrington Funeral Directors with Bro. Jim Miller Officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
