  Reverend Eddie Ray Wotton, born in Monticello, Maine on December 15, 1930 passed away on September 19, 2020.

A funeral service will be held at 3 P.M. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in the chapel of Peck Funeral Home with Pastor George Sawyer and Pastor Raymond Rhodes officiating. A private family committal service will follow at Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home.

He was the son of George Washington Wotton and Florence Estes Wotton of Monticello, Maine.

Reverend Wotton entered the United States Army in 1955 and in 1957 received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Sergeant. He moved from Monticello, Maine to Dover, New Hampshire in 1959 and worked at Moore Business Forms as the foreman of the packing department until we went into the ministry.

Reverend Wotton became a licensed and ordained minister in 1970. He served as a Presbyter
for the Northern District Assembly of God. He, along with the congregation, built the Rochester
Assembly of God church in Rochester, New Hampshire where he pastored for over 12 years.
Under God’s leadership he incorporated the Living Hope Fellowship and under this
incorporation he formed the Wolfeboro Full Gospel Fellowship in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
Along with his congregation he built the church where he pastored until his retirement in 2000.
In 2004 he moved to Decatur, AL and under the direction of Reverend George Sawyer of Calvary
Assembly of God, Eddie pastored the Town Creek Assembly of God for a year.

For the past 11 years he has lived with his wife, Joann, in Hartselle, AL and attended the South
Decatur Church of God under the leadership of Reverend Raymond Rhodes.

Reverend Wotton is predeceased by his brother Dale Wotton of Monticello, ME, his sister Ruth
Sargent of Somersworth, NH and his daughters Marilyn Dixon of Greenville, NC and Faye
Richardson of Forkland, AL.

He is survived by his wife, Joann, his sons, Daniel Wotton and his wife Julie of Vanceboro, NC,
Steven Rogers and his wife, Annie of Fayetteville, TN, Joel Wotton and his wife Kathey of
Ossipee, NH, Craig Rogers and his wife Jennifer of Hartselle, AL, a daughter Pamela Adams and
her husband Dennis of Sanbornville, NH, and a spiritually adopted daughter, Martha Bentley of
Decatur, AL. He also leaves 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grand children, as well as nieces and
nephews.
