Eddie Melvin Stewart, 92, of Huntsville, passed away Friday. He was a World War II veteran and a lifteime active member of VFW Post 2702. He was preceded in death by his son, William Stewart and parents, Elvie and Nellie Stewart. Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joann Stewart; two daughters, Vicki Fox and Lisa Bice (Tommy); three sons: Eddie Stewart (Jacque), Robbie Stewart (Teresa), Kelly Bartman (Lori), eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a private graveside service at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
