March 6, 1944 – March 12, 2026
Eddie Elizabeth Saint McPeters, age 82, of Grant, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus at her home, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and unwavering strength. She was a devoted and loving mother to her only son, Steadman McPeters, and to Mindy, her daughter-in-law whom she loved as her own. Her greatest joy in life was being “Gigi” to her precious grandson, Charlee, whom she adored beyond measure.
Eddie was deeply loved and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a true pillar of Grant, known for her gentle spirit, steadfast character, and sincere compassion for others. A woman of her word, she lived her life with integrity, humility, and grace, offering encouragement and kindness wherever she went.
Her faith was the foundation and guiding light of her life. On February 28, 1993, she received the gift of the Holy Ghost and faithfully walked with the Lord for the next 33 years. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Holiness Church in the Swearengin Community, where her testimony, devotion, and steadfast example of Christian living touched countless lives.
She is survived by her son, Steadman McPeters; her beloved daughter-in-law, Mindy; and grandson, Charlee; sisters, Barbara Clark and Paula Saint; brother, Jerry Saint; special friend of 40 years, Donna Hasty; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Leonard Ray McPeters; sister, Teresa Saint; parents, Eddie Lee and Charlee Mae Saint; brothers-in-law, Harold Clark, Danny Saint, Carlos McPeters, Henry Earl McPeters, Franklin McPeters, and Odis Largen; sisters-in-law, Shirley Largen and Edna McPeters; father-in-law, Oliver McPeters; mother-in-law, Lilly McPeters; and nephew, Shane Saint.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Aveanna Hospice and Dr. Patrick Tucker for their unwavering and exceptional care during Eddie’s final days, helping to make that sacred time as peaceful, meaningful, and fulfilling as possible. A special thank you is also extended to Carol Vandiver for her compassion and loving support in sitting with Eddie during her time of need. The family would also like to recognize the special love and unwavering support of Mindy’s mother, Vicki Riggins Jones, who shared a beautiful sister-like bond with Eddie. Together, they lovingly worked side by side in caring for Charlee, creating a circle of strength, devotion, and family that will always be cherished.
Though her earthly presence will be profoundly missed, her family and friends take comfort in the assurance of her eternal rest and heavenly reward. Her beautiful legacy of love, faith, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
