Ed Janes, age 82 of Pulaski, passed away Saturday July 5, 2025 at NHC Pulaski.Ed Janes was born in Canton, OH on July 17, 1942 to Ralph and Bette Dodson Janes. Ed was self-employed. He loved watching and attending UT football games, as well as shooting skeet. Ed is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Bette Janes; brother Ralph Janes; sisters Ollie Ruth Janes and Darlene Marando; daughters Shannon Janes and Sherry Mayberry.
Visitation will be held 3-7pm on Tuesday July 8, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home. A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted in Giles Memory Gardens at 1pm Wednesday July 9, 2025. Interment to follow.
Ed is survived by his wife Carolyn Janes of Pulaski; sons Dennis Janes (Allsia) of Pulaski, Phil Bassham (Charlotte) of Lawrenceburg; daughters Karen Higgins (Roger) of Pulaski, Lorrie Russell (J.P) of St. Louis; brothers Dan Janes (Jill) of Pulaski, John Elmer Janes of Florida, Billy Janes of Florida; sisters Lorena Whiddon (Charlie) of Florida, Thelma Bassett (Mike) of Pulaski, Truly Seili of Florida, Freda Buchanan (Mark) of Florida, Bette Oramas (Alex) of Florida; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
