WASHINGTON – Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew today issued the following statement recognizing Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Awareness Day:

Jacob J. Lew
“The Earned Income Tax Credit is a valuable program that lifts millions of children and families above the poverty line each year. As the President emphasized in his State of the Union address, making the EITC available to more low-wage workers without children by raising the maximum credit they can receive is an important part of our effort to restore the middle class.”

Robbery just cut taxes .The government can’t give unle ss they take away from the people who earned it.
My wife has niece who does not work is 26 yrs old with 4 kids. Her husband works half of the time. My wife and me both work and have since we were teenagers. We are helping our son to get through college and still have to pay federal taxes at the end of the year. The niece and her husband get a $10,000 refund each yr and probably didn’t pay in $2000 Thousands of cases like this all over the US. What our government s teaching the younger generations is, do not try to work hard and get ahead in life and we will give you a bonus at the end of the year out of the money we steal from the people who earned it. What do the call it child tax credit, earned income tax credit???? earned??? how being fat and lazy setting on the couch sucking on KFC chicken legs and watching TV while their kids run wild. How 3rd world are we going to let our government take us. Democrats and Republicans are both the problem, how can one blame the other when both were there. We need a party that represents the people not special interest
Signed
Pissed off and tired of the bull shot
