Earma Lee Parmely Kirk was born February 12, 1927 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Orlan R. and Callie Kirk Parmely. She was united in marriage to Elton Kirk on May 1, 1948. Mr. Kirk preceded her in death on June 18, 1996. Earma was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Ramer, TN. She was an avid Gardner. She was a great cook and had cooked for the Girl Scouts for four years in the summer. Earma loved flowers, quilting, fishing and most of all her family.
Mrs. Kirk departed this life on March 15, 2016 in Pocahontas, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 2 Months, 3 Days.
She is survived by her three children: Glenda Kirk Jacobs of Pocahontas, TN, Linda Kirk McAlpin and husband Don of Middleton, TN, David Elton Kirk, Jr. and wife Mamie; two sisters, Virgina Wilmeth and Fern Butler both of Ramer, TN; seven grandchildren: Brenda, Ken, Tina, Rodney, Melanie, Tiffany, and Amie; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kirk is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Corky Jacobs; a sister, Fawndree Wilmeth; and a brother, Howard Parmely.
