FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a release on an early morning fire on Sunday, December 10 with one fatality:
“Florence Police and Fire responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Whisperwood Trail at approximately 6:45 am this morning, 12/10/17.
FFD is currently still on the scene making sure all hot spots are put out before an investigation can begin.
We are currently interview witnesses and the home owner concerning the fire. We have also confirmed we have one fatality inside the home that is not part of the family that lives there.
Once we receive more information and we are able to conduct our investigation we will release what we can. We are not releasing the names at this time.
Once we have more details and know what happened we will do a press release, this will most likely be tomorrow.”
