Earline Blackwell age 84 of Sumiton, passed away on Friday November 3, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and a host of friends. She was a member of Empire Assembly of God. She worked 43 years for Marshall Durbin Company.
Funeral services will be Monday November 6, 2017 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Don Westbrook will officiate. Burial will follow at Dilworth Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday night 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Letcher and Mary F. Bowling and her siblings, Leonard Bowling, Joe Bowling and Shirley Robinson.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Sanford Blackwell; daughters, Sandra May (Harry) and Wanda Grissom (Rick); five grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Bobbie Lambert (Thomas); two special nieces and caregivers, Betty Tolbert and Hilda McAdams; caregiver, Gay Hunt; several other relatives and a host of friends.
