Earl Radford Coleman, 70, passed away Monday, Dec. 7, at Cypress Cove Care Center, Muscle Shoals, after an extended illness. A memorial service in his honor will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. at Beulah Church of God Seventh Day, Phil Campbell, with Pastor Daryl Lovelady officiating.
Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Kinney; father, Clarence; and two brothers, Ricky Kinney and Eddie Johnson.
He is survived by wife of 50 years, Mrs. Minnie (Stines) Coleman; son, Larry Coleman (wife, Suzanne); daughter, Melissa Shilling (husband, David); daughter, Patrica Campbell (husband, Brad); daughter, Teresa Adams (husband, Tom); brothers, Steve Kinney and Keith Kinney; sisters, Lisa Thorn, Kathy Kinney, Joyce Hamby, and Connie Gehl; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Originally from Pikeville, Kentucky, Mr. Coleman was a gifted automotive and tractor mechanic. He lived in Great Falls, Montana and worked for Taylor Brothers John Deere prior to retiring and moving to Alabama. He was a member of the Living Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Coleman’s honor may be made to Cypress Cove Care Center, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff and nurses of Cypress Cove as well as those from Gentiva Home Health and Hospice for their outstanding care for Mr. Coleman during his time of illness.
