Earl Gene Peay, age 74 of Huntsville passed away Feb. 25, 2019.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sandra Peay; two children Jefferson Earl Peay and James Eugene Peay (Kelly Rose Anderson); four grandchildren Kaylee Peay, Alexander Peay, Austin Peay, and Charles Peay; siblings Ladonna Thompson and Dale Peay.
Mr. Peay retired from the U.S. Army after 34 years as a Chief Warrant Officer 5. He served in Vietnam and was a Chinook Pilot. He was a member of the Vietnam Helicopter Pilot Association and also an avid Mississippi State Bulldog Alumni.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2019, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. followed by the Memorial service at 4:00 p.m. officiated by Chaplain Paul Keil. The burial will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation.
