Memorial service for Dwight C. Griffin age 69 of Hartselle will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 6:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brent Worley officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service.
Mr. Griffin, who died on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at his home, was born August 31, 1946 in Athens, Alabama to Doyce Griffin and Geneva Hastings Griffin. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartselle and was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife and mother of his children Pamela Blalock Griffin. Dwight was in banking in Hartselle for 25 years until his retirement in 2005. He started out his career with Citizens Bank / Southtrust Bank, served as President of Community Bank and ended his career working for 3 years with Peoples Bank as a consultant. Dwight really loved the Hartselle Community and was involved with the Civitan Club for years and then the Rotary Club until his health would not allow him to attend.
