SHEFFIELD-The Colbert County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement concerning a drug raid that took place on Wednesday:

“Wednesday January 26th, the Colbert County Drug Task Force with the assistance of Colbert County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and the Sheffield Police Department acted on a search warrant at a residence on SW 13th Avenue, Sheffield. During the investigation of the residence, $1,300 cash was found, as well as 113 grams Methamphetamine, 19 grams Fentanyl powder, 36 Xanax tablets, 110 Adderall tablets, 2 Oxycontin tablets, 2 Diazepam tablets, 1 handgun, 1 assault rifle, 1 short barrel shot gun, and various types of drug paraphernalia items.

All the evidence will be presented to the Grand Jury so that charges can be brought against Kimberly Weeden, the tenant of the residence, who was found when officers made entry to the home. Also present in the residence were two other subjects that each had active warrants. Brandon Green was arrested on warrants with Colbert County Sheriff’s Office for Drug Trafficking and an unnamed female who had warrants with Lauderdale County was turned over to the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office.

We want to thank the Colbert County Drug Task Force for all the hard work they do each day and for all they do to assist other agencies in protecting our county.”
