DECATUR-The Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit conducted a narcotics investigation during the months of November and December.  Here is how the Decatur Police describe the outcome of the investigation:

“During the months of November and December 2014 Investigators with the Decatur Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit initiated a narcotics investigation that was connected to a male identified as Dyron Rashad Primus. Investigators discovered that Primus used the residence at 510 Westwood Dr SW to store and distribute quantities of synthetic cannabinoids (Spice).

On December 11, 2014 Investigators executed a search warrant at the Westwood Dr residence. Officers located Primus and found him to be in possession of a large amount of Spice and drug paraphernalia. Joseph Wayne Hine was identified and was found to be in possession of a quantity of marihuana. Primus and Hine were arrested and transported to the Decatur City Jail.

Primus was charged with Trafficking in Synthetic Controlled Substances, Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hine was charged with Possession of Marihuana 2nd Degree. Primus will be transferred to the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $10,500.00 bond. Hine’s bond was set at $500.00.”
