TUPELO-The Lee County Sheriff, Jim H. Johnson released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has outstanding warrants and was found in possession of Meth:
“On December 20, 2023, Investigators with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department made contact with an individual in the Richmond area of Lee County. The individual was identified as 43-year-old Christopher Leigh Ellis of the Mooreville area. After further investigation, it was learned that Ellis had an active arrest warrant with the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Ellis was found to be in possession of Methamphetamine.
A hold was also placed on him for the Mississippi Department of
Corrections.
Arrested:
Christopher Leigh Ellis; 43 Y.O.A, Mooreville, MS
Charge:
Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance –
Methamphetamine
His bond was set at $10,000.00 by a Justice Court Judge.”
