Driver License Offices Closed Monday Due to Winter Weather Conditions and Potentially Dangerous Roadways

MONTGOMERY — Due to the potential for hazardous driving conditions, the Alabama Law
Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Driver License Offices located within the northern portion of the
state will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, to ensure the safety of employees and the public.

All counties impacted by these closures are among the 19 counties included in the State of
Emergency issued by Governor Kay Ivey as winter weather and icy conditions are expected to
affect parts of the state over the weekend and into next week.

Additional delayed openings may occur on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Citizens are encouraged to follow
ALEA on social media (@ALEAProtects) or visit www.alea.gov for real-time updates on driver
license office closures, as well as road conditions.
