Mr. Doyle Freeman Holt departed this life on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his residence in Lutts, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 1 Month, 25 Days. He was born September 13, 1933 in Lutts, TN the son of the late Marvin and Clara Rich Holt. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holt was preceded in death by sisters, Iva Dean Holt Blankeship and Wylo Dean Holt White;
Mr. Holt was a retired fork lift driver with Foster Forbes Glass out of Marion Indiana . He was a memeber of the Glass Blowers association. Mr. Doyle served his country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Lula Belle Bullard on October 26, 1956.
He is survived by his wife Lula Belle Bullard Holt of Lutts, TN; sons, Rick Holt and wife Tina of Lawrenceville, GA. and Ron Holt and wife Janet of Cypress Inn, TN; a daughter, Brenda Holt Powers and husband James; grandchildren; Wesley Powers; Jordan Powers; Megan McNeil; Macy Braunis; Matthew Holt; Molly Holt; Marcus Holt; Morgan Holt; Kalea Holt; Melisa Powers; Kim Gray and April Copas; great grandchildren; Lucas Wilt; Parker Gray and Trey McNeil;
sisters, Hazel Holt Woods of Marion, IN. and Yvonne Holt Price and husband Bobby of Cypress Inn, TN.
Services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Blake Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee.
Visitation: Sunday, November 10, 7:00-9:00 pm and on Monday; November 11, 11:00 am until 1:00 PM @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood,TN
with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
