Mr. Doyle Fay Risner was born February 12, 1935 in southern Wayne County to the union of his parents Mr. Howard Risner and Mrs. Alma Keeton Risner. During his formative years, he would spend his childhood surrounded by the nature that would come to develop the passion for the outdoors, particularly farming, that would shape a large part of his life. He attended school in Collinwood and graduated from the Collinwood High School with the class of 1952. After graduating high school, Mr. Risner served his country in joining the United States Army. Mr. Risner would spend his occupational years as a mail carrier until his retirement and as a cattle farmer. Later in his adult life, Mr. Doyle would meet and marry is wife Mrs. Janet Risner on March 25, 1994 forever intertwining their hearts, lives and families. He and his wife attended the First Baptist Church in Collinwood, TN. Those who knew him will remember his love for horticulture and farming. He loved planting strawberries to sell to the public and visiting with his customers. Mr. Risner loved working his cattle and loved watching the seeds he planted grow whether it be strawberries, bushes or flowers. However, he held no other moments closest to his heart than the moments spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and his great- grandchild. Mr. Doyle Fay Risner passed from this life on March 03, 2026 at his home in Collinwood surrounded by his family making his stay on earth some 91 years and 19 days.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 32 years Mrs. Janet Risner of Collinwood, TN; his daughters Serena Pierce husband Barry of Spring Hill, TN and Alana Baxter husband Albert of Suwanee, GA; stepsons Brian McIntyre and Brad McIntyre wife Kym all of Florence, AL; sister Patsy Risner of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren Carter Pierce, Blaise Baxter, Breslin Baxter, Tiffany Clark husband Walker, Caden McIntyre and Bradlyn Ward ;great- grandchild Bronx Ward; as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones.
Funeral Services will be held Friday March 06, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Collinwood with Davie Byrd officiating, burial will follow in McGlamery Cemetery. Visitation with the Risner family will begin Friday at 12;00 noon till 1:00 pm service time at the First Baptist Church in Collinwood
