Funeral services for Mr. Doyle Coffman, age 74, are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Coffman passed away late Wednesday in Jackson. He was born April 19, 1942 in Henderson County to the late L. V. and Ruthie Mae Gourley Coffman. He was a retired construction worker and salesman and enjoyed gardening and collecting Nascar memorabilia. He was an avid sports fan and in his early years, he enjoyed riding horses and dune buggies. Mr. Coffman was preceded in death by one son, Derek Lynn Coffman; one sister, LaRue Jones; and four brothers, J. C., David, Lavoyde, and Alfred Coffman. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Linda Welch Coffman; three sons, Keith Coffman (Janelle), Jeff Coffman (Kayla), and Wesley Coffman (Shirley); eight grandchildren, Heather Ray (Andy), Jeremy Coffman (Kristin), Holly King (Jon), Jennifer Coffman, David Little (Tracy), Jessica Coffman (Corey), Michael Coffman, and Whitney Overman (Kevin); nine great grandchildren, Slater and Tyler Coffman, Conner and Nathan King, Abel and Caine Hays, Scarlet West, Talis Little, Isaac Overman, and soon to be born Samuel King; one sister, Etta Haggard (James); and two brothers, Howard Coffman (Brenda) and Jerry Coffman (Peggy).
